The app

One link. Every device. No more “which store are you on?”

AppLink Generator creates a smart link that works out which app store to send a visitor to, based on the device they are using — with a fallback if the device cannot be determined.

Generate the link, test it, then deploy it in ad campaigns, on your website and across social media, without worrying about how people will get to your app.

What you can do

  • Route iOS visitors to the App Store automatically
  • Route everyone else to your other store
  • Set a fallback link, such as your website
  • Test the link before you publish it
  • Create expiring links, permanent links, or both
  • Keep an archive of past links with a subscription

How it works

  1. Enter your iOS App Store link
  2. Enter your other store link
  3. Enter a fallback link, for example your website
  4. Generate the smart link, test it, and deploy

Links run for 14 days by default. A subscription unlocks permanent links alongside expiring ones, plus the archive.

Latest release

About the maker

Wasim Ahmad has spent decades where this app lives: at the exact point where deep, difficult technology meets everyday people.

As a founding member of Voltage Security, a Stanford University spinout, he launched the first commercial email encryption built on Identity-Based Encryption, working alongside cryptographers including Stanford’s Dan Boneh. He later helped launch end-to-end protection for the world’s payment systems, and joined Vault12, the pioneer of crypto inheritance.

The apps follow the same rule as the books: one clear job, plain English, and nothing collected about you. He lives in London and New York.
